Over the span of 33 plus years with Weyerhaeuser Company I had the good fortune to work with many dynamic people. I worked for the offices of the President, the CFO, Vice President of Investor Relations, Management Associate of Weyerhaeuser Westwood Shipping lines and as the liaison of the President of Weyerhaeuser Far East. My husband’s retirement coincided with my retirement from Weyerhaeuser and it was at this junction we decided to sell our home, purchase a toy hauler, load our Harley’s and hit the road to travel our beloved country. Since research is one of my strengths, I set out to find the best real estate company, who dealt in sales of higher end properties. Michael Morrison of Morrison House Sotheby’s Realty was number one in sales and listings. I contacted him and arranged for him to come to our home for a listing presentation. He toured our home and we spent time talking about what I had done for a living, my new life as a retiree and why we were selling. Michael said “Oh no, you’re not selling your home. You are coming to work for me and you will be very successful, make money and have fun doing it!” He was right and I did. No regrets – I love what I do, thoroughly enjoy my second career and “No” we haven’t purchased the toy hauler.
